When you are new to the internet it stands to reason that people do not yet know you or trust you. It is up to you to build that trust with them as quickly as possible. Emailing them at least once a week, providing lots of valuable content, encouraging them to connect with you on Facebook and Twitter, and telling them about resources they will find helpful are all ways to establish trust.
Use the same picture of yourself on your blog and in social networking sites so that both your name and face become familiar to your prospects. Reply to their emails and write to them on Twitter and Facebook. Showing that you are available to help will build to trust faster than anything else. Most of all, just be yourself on the internet. Sharing something about your life offline will let others know that you are authentic.
