New Marketing Strategies 2015
After doing things in the same way for the past couple of years I am happy to report that I do have a new philosophy when it comes to building a sustainable business for 2015 and beyond. It is a three-pronged approach that is working extremely well for me and for many of my students around the world.
The three prongs consist of a blog, a podcast, and a book. These work extremely well in unison to build your business exponentially. Additionally, you’ll want to have a signature course or training to offer on your topic, but let’s start out by discussing the main elements in this innovative and intensive marketing strategy.
When I say a blog, I am referring to having a hosted WordPress site on a domain you own and control. I recommend Blue Host for your hosting (A2 Hosting) and from there you can install WordPress with just a few clicks without any additional expense. This will cost you less than a hundred dollars a year. Get your domains from GoDaddy through my discounted link (http://ConnieLoves.me/DomainSale).
Start adding content on a regular basis to let readers know what you have to say about your topic. It will take some time to find your voice and feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and ideas in this way, but once you get into the habit of posting you will see how effective it can be for your business as readers come to know, like, and trust you as an expert on your topic.
You are able to add what you need to this site to set up your podcast. A podcast is simply an audio recording that you distribute on iTunes. Talk about your area of expertise on your topic for fifteen minutes a week, or for any amount of time that works for you. Be sure to include a link back to your blog to further connect with prospects who find you there and want to know more. You can see what I’m doing by visiting http://ConnieRagenGreenPodcast.com.
The third prong is a book, and that is much easier to write than you may be thinking. I just published my tenth book in October and still can’t believe I have been so prolific over these past several years. I have also compiled about half a dozen books and contributed to more than a dozen others. You can see this at http://ConnieRagenGreenBooks.com. Start by writing just one chapter – about five hundred to a thousand words – and then find others to do the same. Use a common theme to make it appealing to a wider audience and you will join the ranks of being a published author. Later on you can write your own books on your topic.
If you want to take this all to the next step, create a course or training about what you know. I refer to this as a signature course because it is what you will become known for in your field. Over the past five or so years I have created courses on affiliate marketing, being a ‘weekend marketer’, writing a book, and several more. It’s a way of reinventing yourself to breathe new life into your business. As an entrepreneur this keeps it all interesting as we continue to grow and build our businesses.
Let’s recap on this process I have explained here:
- Set up a WordPress site to blog regularly
- Use this site to host a podcast on iTunes
- Write, or contribute to a book on your topic
- Create a signature course on your topic
This coming year is your opportunity to blow up your business with new clients, products, and visibility. With the recession clearly behind us, there is no reason why you can’t enjoy the best year of the past decade. Use my three-prong approach to get moving quickly, and consider adding a signature course to make it even more effective.

BBP-3 Prong Approach: a Blog, a Book, a Podcast. Love how Connie always breaks things down to simple, actionable steps, a solid strategy for internet marketing business success without the overwhelm. “I’m in” and look forward to working with and following Connie’s advice-Connie’s “left brain” is so good for my “right brain” I recently joined Write, Publish, Prosper and look forward to scaling my writing for my blogs, books and outlining for podcasts. Thanks Connie for a great 3-prong marketing strategy for 2015.

Hi Connie!
The three prong strategy, consisting of a blog, a podcast, and a book, makes a lot of sense as a strategy for 2015. I plan to re-badge and re-focus this year.
By the way, just wondering why you chose X Theme for this site. Are you happy with it?
All the best!
