So many people have the dream of becoming a published author, yet more than 99% of them never take the action necessary to turn their dream into a reality. Thanks to the online self-publishing revolution, anyone can now publish an eBook or other digital book more easily than ever before in history. I learned most of what I know from Jim Edwards and Joe Vitale in their eBook on how to write and publish your eBook in as little as 7 days. You can even do this on your own, as long as you have chosen the niche topic you will be writing about, you have the desire to make the time and effort to accomplish this, and you can set up a simple mini-site on the Internet to conduct your business with your finished book.
You do not need any special education, training, or aptitude in order to be successful, but you must be willing to take action with what you are writing to be successful with writing and selling your eBook on the Internet. You don’t even need to be an experienced writer. It all begins with your original idea. The cost is also very low to get this all set up online. A domain name is less than ten dollars per year, and hosting averages about ten dollars each month.
First, think of a topic you would like to write about. Typically this will be something you have an interest in and know something about. Start making a list of the information you might include in this type of book. You can create an outline for this, or simply write it down as a numbered or bulleted list. You can then spend some time each day and write a new section, as I have done with several eBooks I have written on various topics since coming online. Or you may want to record your information and have it transcribed by someone else. This will be much faster.
Recording your book can be done quite inexpensively. My teleseminar service allows me to call in on the phone from wherever I am. Then the recording is available in two different formats as soon as I am finished. The result is that I can speak at around thirty to forty pages per hour, making it simple to write as fast as I speak.
The next step is the marketing of your completed eBook. You will want to set up a mini-site, which means you will be using WordPress to sell your product to your prospects. This will turn you into a published author and give you another stream of residual online income.
