There are so many ways to drive targeted traffic to your sites that this marketing technique should just become part of your daily routine to continue building your business online. We tend to only think of one or two methods to get visitors to our sites, but there are many methods that work extremely well over time. I am recommending Marlon Sanders and his new Traffic Dashboard for anyone who wants to drive targeted traffic to your blog and other websites quickly and easily.
Article marketing is the one way to drive targeted traffic that we all think of, but many people simply do not enjoy the writing process. You can have others write articles for you, but I have never done this. Instead, I write one article each morning and submit it to the largest article directory. This takes me about thirty to forty minutes, and I have now done that more than 1,550 times since March of 2007. You can take a look at my articles here.
Turning that article into a blog post is next for me. I want the article to be published on my own site before the article directory publishes it. This makes sense if you are writing articles to build your own credibility and visibility in your chosen niche.
Search engine optimization (SEO) is another way to drive targeted traffic to your websites. I continue to learn more about this over time, and now consider it to be of primary importance when I create any type of online content. Using WordPress to build your sites will make the SEO process go very smoothly, and it is fairly simple to learn how to do. You will want to spend some time learning your way around Google’s free keyword tool so that you know exactly what your market is typing in when they search for more information on your topic.
Social media also works extremely well when it comes to traffic, so be sure to set up your profiles on the big 3 of social media – Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This will take a few hours initially, but then it will be set up forever. Each of these sites makes it simple for you to get the word out about what you have to offer, and this can all be automated.
Video is another way to get more visitors to your sites. This may seem like the most daunting method, but I recommend just jumping in and giving it a try. Start with the free services, such as YouTube and Animoto, and then progress at your own speed to more complex sites.
Make this a part of your work day and you will build your online business quickly.
