Storytelling To Build Your Business – Relationship Marketing Includes Stories

Storytelling is an important part of relationship marketing. I used to believe that my stories would not be of interest to anyone, and that they might even detract from my credibility as an online entrepreneur. It turns out that stories are something we can all relate to. Now people ask me to tell some of my stories again so they can learn from my experiences.

Write down some of the stories that are a part of your life experience. See how you can relate them to what you are doing in your business. When we think of some of the greatest people in history, it is their stories that make us care about them. You can do the same thing to bring your online business to life.

Choose stories that make a point or that others can learn from. There are business blogs that have done this successfully, and we look forward to learning something we can put into use right away.

    Connie, what an excellent post. I do know that telling our experiences and personal stories is a good way for people to relate and learn. I am very happy to be reminded of this fact.

    I have been on many of your webinars and teleseminars. Your personal stories and experiences helped me have many “lightbulb” and “aha” moments.

    Sometimes I get into my head too much and become a “just the facts, ma’am” personality. People have a difficult time relating to me when I am this way. I am sincerely delighted in being reminded to be more of a storyteller.

      Storytelling has made me lots of money, because people remember
      the stories I tell about the struggles of getting started with my online
      business. That has led to name recognition that serves me well every
      day. You can do the exact same thing. Tell the story you want to be
      remembered for in your business.
