You are only human. We tend to forget that fact when we start an online business. Your list will understand this, so don’t be afraid to show your vulnerability when you make mistakes.
Last month, when my main blog was down for two days, I shared the story with my list. I admitted that I had been hosting that blog with a company that was known for not providing the best hosting. Instead of moving the blog to the right hosting company two years ago, I had neglected to do this and suffered the consequences when the blog site crashed.
My list responded to this admission on my part with great understanding and empathy. By showing my vulnerability, other people were able to open up and share their own stories.

Hi Connie,
Great to hear from you. I also prefer to “feel” the person behind!
Greetings,

Hi Connie,
Yes I would tend to agree. Over the past year I have been seeking information from what seems like an endless amount of online marketers. I have gravitated towards you and one or two others (most likely recommended by you). i think this is because you don’t have the impenetrable facade that many marketers have. Having said that I imagine some people like the glossy marketing facade……..no…….i’m sure most don’t 🙂
