This is a simple, repeatable way to create digital products and courses that sell because they solve a specific problem for a specific person. This works beautifully for beginners, busy entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants to build passive or semi-passive income streams quickly.

STEP 1 — Identify ONE Specific Problem

Not a category… not a big topic… but a single, painful, urgent problem someone wants solved NOW.

Examples:

  • “I don’t know how to choose a niche.”

  • “I can’t get anyone to sign up for my email list.”

  • “I’m overwhelmed by content creation.”

  • “My blog isn’t earning money.”

  • “I don’t know how to use ChatGPT for marketing.”

How to get these problems:

  • Ask your audience (poll, email, social).

  • Read comments in Facebook groups.

  • Look at product reviews on Amazon, Udemy, Etsy.

  • Note your students’ sticking points.

STEP 2 — Identify the Person Who Has This Problem

Describe one type of person.

Example:
“Seniors starting online marketing who feel overwhelmed by tech.”

The more specific the person, the easier the product is to create — and to SELL.

STEP 3 — Define the ONE Transformation

Ask:
“After they go through my product, what will they be able to do that they can’t do now?”

This becomes your promise.

  • “Go from stuck → to publishing weekly content with ease.”

This transformation is the foundation for your product.

STEP 4 — Outline the SIMPLEST Path to That Transformation

Resist the urge to teach everything.

Give them:

  • The exact steps

  • In the shortest path

  • With no fluff

Formats that work:

  • A 3–5 step framework

  • A short checklist

  • A single method or formula

  • A plug-and-play template

  • A mini-video walkthrough

People buy SPEED, CLARITY, and SIMPLICITY.

STEP 5 — Choose the Best Product Format

Pick the most frictionless format for delivering the solution.

For beginners:

  • Mini-course (30–60 minutes)

  • Workbook or guide

  • Template pack

  • Swipe file

  • Email course

  • Short video series

  • Cheat sheet with a walkthrough

Remember:
Shorter products sell BETTER because they feel doable.

STEP 6 — Create the Product Using the “Explain → Show → Do” Model

Your product should include:

  1. Explain
    Why this solution works. Keep it short.

  2. Show
    Demonstrate the steps with screenshots, examples, or a short video.

  3. Do
    Give them a worksheet, checklist, template, or action step so they can immediately apply it.

This makes your product practical — and high-value.

STEP 7 — Add Quick Wins

Include one of the following so they get results FAST:

  • A 10-minute starter task

  • A fill-in-the-blank template

  • A step-by-step action sheet

  • A “first win in 24 hours” challenge

Quick wins = high completion rates = great reviews.

STEP 8 — Name the Product Using the Problem + Solution Formula

Great formula:
[Solve the Problem] in [Short Timeframe] Without [Common Struggle]

Examples:

  • Choose Your Profitable Niche in 60 Minutes

  • Your First 100 Subscribers Without Overwhelm

  • The 3-Step Content Engine for Busy Entrepreneurs

Names like these SELL.

STEP 9 — Price It

Simple pricing:

  • PDF / Template Pack: $7–$27

  • Mini-Course: $27–$97

  • Multi-module Course: $97–$497

You can teach them:
Sell small products first → then bundle → then upsell into bigger programs.

STEP 10 — Launch It with a Simple 3-Step Promo Plan

Here’s an easy launch process your students can reuse:

  1. Email 1: “I solved this problem for you” announcement

  2. Email 2: Teach one tiny piece → link to buy

  3. Email 3: Share one student success story → invite again

Optional:

  • Social media teasers

  • A live walkthrough session

  • A short challenge
