The key to consistent online income is to have a strategy that works for you and your niche. I’ve seen too many people have monthly incomes that fluctuate wildly from month to month, so my goal was to make sure that did not happen to me. I believe the way to ensure ongoing, predictable revenue month after month is by having your own membership sites, promoting the right affiliate programs, and by recommending recurring services to your prospects and clients.
Start with a free or low cost membership site where your prospects can visit regularly and learn more about you and what you have to offer. I use Wishlist’s WordPress plugin for this. No matter what niche you are in, this is an excellent way to connect with the people who find you online or in person. By giving them access to a member’s area, you have permission to share all types of information with them that will help them to achieve their goals. It is also much easier to get these messages through than relying strictly on your autoresponder service.
Another way to make sure your income never goes down is to promote affiliate products, courses, and other trainings on a regular basis. By choosing just the people and programs that are best for your people, you will be able to add this information to your membership site, resource page, and autoresponder sequence. This means that someone joining your list six months from now will still receive the information on what you are promoting. This leads to increased revenue for months and years to come. Just make sure to check it every few months to make sure the links are still working and that the information is still valid and evergreen.
Recurring services are my favorite. I like to recommend the shopping cart, autoresponder service, teleseminar service, audio recording, and monthly training programs that make up a huge part of my business. This way I am able to share the information on how these are helping me to grow my business while also earning a commission when someone else decides to use them as well. Just imagine if we could do this in our daily life by recommending phone service, trash pickup, and more. When you work online, this becomes a reality, and a profitable one at that.
By now you can see that there are a variety of ways to build your business, increase your income each month, and avoid the fluctuating income that is a problem for so many people working on the Internet.
