Are you working on a new project each week? Depending upon how long you have been working online, you are more than likely working on various projects to build a profitable business for yourself. I adopted my ‘project of the week’ marketing strategy back in 2009, and it has served me well during all of this time.
Each week I take a look at my numbers on Google before I choose my next project. I Google my name, using quotation marks around it to avoid results that are not related directly to me. I only want results for what I am doing on the Internet, and not anything from someone with a similar name. The important thing here is to see what others will find when they search for information about you. The social media sites tend to take up a few places on page one, but the others should be your blog and other sites.
I always want my weekly project to be something that will show my prospects and clients that I am knowledgeable on a topic they may not have thought about before. For example, I am an expert in the areas of article marketing and affiliate marketing, so I like to make sure I continue to create products and courses that highlight and showcase these skills.
This past week I created a two part course on how to write articles to promote affiliate products in the correct way. That was my project for the week, and everything I did was centered around getting it all set up and ready to go. I wrote the copy for an optin page, created a short report to use as a free giveaway, and then wrote the outline for the information I wanted to include in the training.
As you can see, each step along the way moved me closer to completion. I was not willing to take any shortcuts, omit any steps, or give up before I was finished. By staying focused on the outcome I wanted to achieve, I just kept moving. You can do the same exact thing with your online business.
Choose a project each week that you can work on a little each day. In the beginning these weekly project will be small, such as putting together your free report or setting up an optin page. Over time they will become more complex, and you will complete them more easily. Each project moves you closer to having a business that will bring you income for years to come.

This is excellent information Connie. I love how you lay out a very doable plan. The actionable steps you take are something we can all take to move our businesses forward.
I am inspired to find more ways to share my expertise with my tribe, and more often too. I took notes on your post and the questions I added to prompt myself are these…
What am I an expert at?
What am I good at?
How can I share it?
What can I create that will add value to my tribe?
Thank you Connie!

LOVE how Kathryn added a blurb on the end of here name. Thought I’d try that too! I leave several comments each week on blogs and forums and I’ve never seen that done before. What an excellent idea Kathryn, hope you don’t mind me using that myself now!
Cool!! Thank you!
