When I was just starting out I was afraid to promote anything to my list that cost more than a hundred dollars. I was sure that they could not afford it. I knew that I couldn’t afford more than that. On my teleseminars people had even told me that it was too expensive to purchase any of the seminar packages or training courses that were being offered. I always agreed with them, saying that you could learn everything you needed for free.
I was wrong. On both counts. The Internet is not free, and getting the education you need to start a profitable business will cost you both time and money. Also, it is not up to us to decide what our market can or will spend on anything that may become available. I learned that the hard way.
Soon after having this last discussion one of my students wrote to tell me about a two thousand dollar course she had purchased. She said that she would have bought it through my affiliate link, but she knew I was not going to promote it because of the cost. I lost a five hundred dollar commission simply because I tried to second guess someone else’s decision.
Big ticket items of all kinds will continue to sell. Decide which to purchase and promote based on your own experiences with the quality of what is being offered, not how much they cost.
